Geschiedenis
In vergelijking met andere landen staat Canada als land eigenlijk nog maar in de kinderschoenen. Immers, het
land werd pas in 1867 onafhankelijk. Maar toch gaat de geschiedenis van Canada terug tot de eerste
Europese ontdekkingsreizigers en nederzettingen. En nog vroeger, tot de oorspronkelijke bewoners die langs de uitgestrekte kusten, in de vlakten, bergen en bossen woonden.
Volg het spoor van de onverschrokken Vikings in Newfoundland en Labrador's L'Anse aux Meadows, een werelderfgoed van de UNESCO, en bezoek de overblijfselen van een nederzetting uit de 11e eeuw.
